Project 2 Week 3 - 36 Hatching Patterns

 During the studio this week, I have developed about 20 hatching patterns and picked 6 of them to develop their patterns from light to dark.

Project 3 Week 3 - The Plan I have chosen Zaha Hadid's Vitra fire station plan started developing different sections for the school. The first section I developed is a simple outline of some of the major part of the building. The second section is also done by tracing the outline of the building. However, this time I used some colour to indicate how spaces are allocated. For the third section, I started playing around with different small parts of the section by multiplying them and transforming them. The last section I developed is of a different approach comparing to the others. I created it by tracing out the shadow of the building from the site plan and ended up with a vary interesting shape. I ended up settling with this section and began developing my first SketchUp draft which will be discussed in the next post.

Project 3 - Final Submission Theory "Angular and intersecting forms as a monumental style in modern architecture." The Bridge The bridge located in between three buildings, the Block House, Round House and Square House and provide a focused group of architectural students a new environment to develop their skills and knowledge. The bridge provide access between the Block House and Square House which allow easy access to the workshop as well as the Uni Mall. The Exterior of the bridge consist of black and vegetation panels to create a lively sense to the building. It also act as a good insulation for the building. This is a view of the building and its surrounding from across Anzac Parade. Note that the underside of the bridge is curved to create a streamlined notion, yet the unpolished exterior says otherwise. Project 3 Week 3 - First Draft This week I started developing my first draft for the school using the sections I created. However, I have yet to want to do yet. Hence, I just played around with the section in SketchUp for a bit. This draft uses the whole section I selected to attempt to create a building. However, as i started to put int a 'skin', an exterior for the building, it all started to go wrong and the end result of the design looks like a chicken head in SketchUp.
