Project 3 - Final Submission Theory "Angular and intersecting forms as a monumental style in modern architecture." The Bridge The bridge located in between three buildings, the Block House, Round House and Square House and provide a focused group of architectural students a new environment to develop their skills and knowledge. The bridge provide access between the Block House and Square House which allow easy access to the workshop as well as the Uni Mall. The Exterior of the bridge consist of black and vegetation panels to create a lively sense to the building. It also act as a good insulation for the building. This is a view of the building and its surrounding from across Anzac Parade. Note that the underside of the bridge is curved to create a streamlined notion, yet the unpolished exterior says otherwise. This is a view of the school from the underside where you will normally walk past when going to the workshop, or getting a drink. Th...

Project 3 Week 1 - Architecture Theory "The exploration of discarded ideas in architecture as a reflection on current designs and act as an inspiration for better designs in the future." This is the theory that I generated during the first week after seeing an article form ArchDaily: Alternative Realities: 7 Radical Buildings That Could-Have-Been https://www.archdaily.com/773828/alternative-realities-7-of-the-most-radical-could-have-been-buildings/?ad_source=myarchdaily&ad_medium=bookmark-show&ad_content=current-user _________________________________________________________________________________ Later on in the project development, I came across another article about Daniel Libeskind by ArchDaily which focused on his style and work. https://www.archdaily.com/505040/happy-birthday-daniel-libeskind From the reading, I noticed a few key words: Angular, Intersecting, Diagonally-sliced From that, I generated another theory that would better su...
Project 3 Week 5/6 - Third Draft Based on the feed back I received last week, I decided to redo my design and based it around an actual bridge like structure. I first started simplifying the section again so that I have a bridge like shape that I can work with. This is the simplified section with two longer sides acting as the bridge. I then started to develop the bridge side first unlike the last two times in which i focused on exterior aesthetic first. However, the school is still going no where as I couldn't get the shape I wanted. And then I started experimenting with Artisan again in hopes of finding a suitable exterior for the school. At last I got a shape that I am interested in developing after lots of trail and error with the shape. Note that the shape on the right was not bent at first but I did it myself to make it looks nicer. In Week 6, I continued developing the design and met some design decisions. First is how the leisure space should be...
